Welcome to Colombia! Let's go for a hike to the summit of Bogotá city’s most famous mountain Monserrate. Rising to 3,152 meters (10,341 ft) above sea level, today's tour is a popular hike amongst local residents and visitors alike. With 1034 steps, the Monserrate stairway is one of the most physically demanding trails in Bogotá. The high altitude and steepness make this hike a good challenge, so set your machine accordingly! Along the way you will see a handful of food stalls and some impressive vistas over downtown Bogotá city. Look forward to the reward at the top: the 17th century church with a shrine devoted to El Señor Caído, "The Fallen Lord".
